We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to complement our Leeds team of around 30 Developers, so we can expand on our current product offerings which specialise in resource and scheduling software applications for rail industry.
As a Senior Software Developer, you will be based within our growing operations and planning team based in Leeds.
We are driven to improve the rail industry and we hope you will share this passion with us. You will rely upon your excellent problem solving skills to assist with software that helps the rail industry to run smoothly and efficiently, which benefits everyone.
You will work on the full development life cycle working on both Brownfield and Greenfield software development projects at enterprise level, which means you will work across different technologies and whilst utilising your current skills, you will also develop new ones.
Whatever the domain, we emphasise the best technical practices and value long term quality.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Developing a cloud-hosted, high-availability software product. Hosted largely in AWS, written mainly in Haskell, but with some components in C#. Supporting tools include Grafana, Nagios, Zookeeper, Smartstack. Day-to-day work could be any or all of these technologies, so people with a desire / proven ability to learn new things are preferred!
